Laminate

Laminate Flooring Laminate flooring is a high resolution image (usually of wood), printed onto heavy craft paper and then bonded by tremendous force and heat to an HDF (High Density Fiber) core board with a melamine type overlay. The overlay is what protects the high resolution image from damage and also what contributes to a laminate floorings AC (Abrasion Class) Rating.  AC ratings range from AC1 to AC5 and dictate whether a laminate flooring is suitable for residential use only, or commercial use as well.
